We aim to make Women’s Legacy-Emakumeen Emaria a European benchmark in applying the gender perspective to cultural policies.

How to communicate cultural heritage under a gender perspective?
Interpreting heritage is essentially an act of communication. It is an art form that goes beyond the obvious and connects the visiting public to the values of cultural heritage. Today, gendered interpretation raises questions, challenges stereotypical discourses and aims to build a more realistic, fair and enriching narrative.

There are many women of historical, artistic, political and professional significance… They have contributed to Europe’s cultural heritage as creators and patrons, and in every era they have received recognition of their worth. Now we want to design dissemination activities to vindicate their contributions in a wide range of fields so that their names will be a point of reference for future generations.
The socialisation of women's heritage
Female memories
We want to educate, train, transmit, communicate… in short, socialise women’s cultural heritage. To do so, we will highlight the role of museums, libraries and other cultural facilities that promote virtual exhibitions, specific visits, reading sessions, theatrical performances and many other activities in which gender perspective plays a key role.
